Biden’s new measure to help alleviate America’s supply chain crisis may just be the drastic yet: National Guards. With ports already operating on a 24/7 schedule and private companies asked to extend their work hours, White House officials are now reportedly considering deploying the National Guards to help with a variety of transport tasks. 

These tasks include trucking, handling packages, and others as American gears up for a hectic holiday season. With shipping delays and rising inflation, big retailers like Walmart and Target are warning shoppers to buy early to get their things on time.

Secretary Pete Buttigieg says  “We’re constantly going to reevaluate all our options.” On the other hand, Republicans claim Biden’s Covid-19 lenient monetary policies has contributed to the labor shortage in the supply chain.
