The Biggest Logistics Company Wants to Hire 1,600 New Employees in Charlotte

FedEx’s workforce in the Charlotte Metropolitan Area in North Carolina is about to be expanded! As the fast pace of online shopping continues, FedEx is planning on creating a new station in North Carolina and hiring 1,600 new employees for ground stations in Charlotte to keep up with delivery schedules.

With the change in consumer habits triggered by COVID-19, the acceleration of momentum for e-commerce has not stopped, and people are only becoming more and more comfortable with purchasing things online. As there is no end in sight, FedEx is committed to widening its staff, especially in FedEx Ground.

According to a FedEx spokesperson, “As the economy rebounds and with the continued uptick in demand for online deliveries, FedEx Ground is looking to add thousands of positions throughout the U.S. in the coming months. [And] the biggest hiring needs are for package handlers.”

The newly created positions will include both part-time and full-time package handlers. Some job benefits include competitive wages with day, night, and weekend shifts available; benefits; paid parental leave, and employee discounts on purchases, such as cell phone service, groceries, and car purchases.
